Firewall Choose either Windows Defender Software Firewall, which is sufficient in most cases, or opt for a hardware firewall for stronger protection or to run your own VPN for remote connections. Software

Operating system For most setups, Windows Server Standard will be sufficient. SQL Server SQL Server Express is sufficient for most setups. However, if your databases exceed 10 GB in size or you have more than 2 CPU cores and require better performance, you may want to consider a different edition of SQL Server. Please note: SQL Server Express is licensed only for use with websites, web applications, or web services.

Server Backups

Server Backups If you require nightly backups of your server, this allows rollback of the server to a previous point in time, or granular recovery of deleted or changed files.
