Enable Detailed Error Messages

This article shows you how to Enable Detailed Error Message in the Hosting Control Panel. This is useful if you need to have the Detailed Error Messages sent to the browser for Classic ASP rather than displaying a generic 500 Internet Server Error Message.

This tutorial assumes that you have already Added a Domain to the Hosting Control Panel.

1. Log into your Hosting Control Panel.

2. Click Web Sites icon option

3. Click on the website name that you wish to enabled detailed error messages for to enter the website properties

4. In the website properties select the Custom Errors Tab

5. From the Error Mode drop down select Detailed to allow the web server to send a detailed error response for your website

6. Check the check box to Send Classic ASP Errors To Browser.

Please note: Both Step 5 (Detailed Error Mode) and Step 6 (Send Classic ASP Errors To Browser) need to be set to allow detailed error messages for Classic ASP to be sent to the web browser

7. Scroll to the bottom of the page a select Save Changes
