EmailSending Mail Using Applications From Your Website

To send mail from a application or script on your website our mail servers require authentication to prevent the spread of malware and protect against web servers being used as spam nodes. Please ensure that any web applications or scripts conform to the following authentication:-

SMTP Server Authentication Settings

SMTP Server smtp.WebSiteLive.net
SMTP Submission Port
587 - Used for unencrypted and encrypted TLS/SSL connection to mail servers
'From' email address This must be the email address of a mailbox created in your Control Panel
Authentication Username This is the email address that you are using as the 'from' email address
Authentication Password This is the password of the mailbox above as set in your Control Panel

ASP.NET

Use the System.Net.Mail Class to send email from ASP.NET Applications. The following page has an Example of using ASP.NET to send email.

Classic ASP

We have Microsoft CDOSYS, Persist AspEmail and Damic JMail Pro installed on the servers for sending email from an ASP Application using SMTP Authentication. The following page has an Example of using CDOSYS to send email from Classic ASP.

PHP

For sending emails from PHP Scripts you can use Pear Mail using SMTP Authentication or Swift Mailer using SMTP Authentication. The following page has an Example of using SwiftMailer to send email from PHP.

I Use Another Provider For My Domains Email

If you use another provider other than Web Wiz for your domains email then by default when you create a mailbox in your Hosting Control Panel our mail servers will attempt to deliver emails for your domain to the Web Wiz Mail Servers rather than your external providers mail servers.

To change this default action you just need to Contact Support and request that we change the settings for your domain on the Web Wiz Mail Servers so that your email is sent to your external mail provider.

I Wish To Use Another Providers SMTP Servers To Send Email From My Website

You can send email from your website using the SMTP Servers or another provider other than Web Wiz. To prevent abuse of our network there are some specific requirements that your SMTP Provider must meet in order to use them to send email from your Web Wiz hosted website.

SMTP Port 25 is not supported for sending email from your website using another provider. To send email using another providers SMTP Servers you must send the email on SMTP Authentication Port 587. The SMTP Servers must also be able to receive email on SMTP Authentication Port 587.
